I
nter Relay Chat (IRC) can be very complicated, especially for the people who are new to this form of chatting. IRC uses services, on DALnet those are called: NickServ (for commands which have to do with registering nicks etc); Chanserv (for commands which have to do with a channel); MemoServ (for commands which involve sending and reading messages), further there are HelpServ and OperServ (which I won't explain here).

Most services commands you can find in the popups of all kinds of scripts. Scripts are IRC programs with alot of things added to it, for entertainment, protection or war. There are different programs for IRC like mIRC, Pirch, IRCii and Virtual IRC (vIRC).

Click on any of these links to find out more about the commands for these Services:

There are also quite a few general commands, which don't need services.
